The Perfect Date Night

Hey guys, and welcome back to my blog! I just wanted to share with you the perfect date night experience. Date night, as we all know, depends on the mood, the occasion and in some cases the season. Ziplining through the rainforest, movie night at the drive-thru, or in this case…a candlelit dinner can all be the perfect night as long as you are spending it with that special someone.

A candlelit dinner is very romantic and very personal. It is great for getting to know someone better or catching up with your life partner of 30 years. With little to no distraction, you really have that time to connect and grow with your significant other. What I like most about this idea is it doesn’t have to be super fancy and expensive. (At least for me it doesn’t) You can choose your favorite restaurant, cook your favorite dish, or go out on a whim and try something completely new. The best part of all is choosing the perfect bottle of wine. (I prefer sweet. I heard that is a new wine drinker thing, but I don’t know how true that part is haha!) Again, this part does not have to be super expensive. I love the $5.99 bottle of Barefoot Moscato, but that’s just me.

Another important part of date night is the outfit. If you choose to have a candlelit dinner on your living room floor in your PJs, that’s you. That is a really cute and fun idea. For me, I love any reason to get dressed up and put on a pair of heels, even if I’m the only one in the room dressed up. I put together this super cute date night look (with product details below). Great for a nice restaurant, but if not, it’s nice for the at-home experience to show your effort that you wanted to look nice for them.

  2. It’s great that you’ve repeatedly reminded us that it’s not all about how much you send, it’s making the time to really be in the moment and allow space for no distractions.

  3. You look gorgeous! (Lucky significant other…) I definitely needed this reminder. I don’t think my boyfriend has seen me in heels and a dress for a long time. I might surprise him now šŸ™‚ P.s. Those chocolate covered strawberries look incredible – Great work!
