Fashion Week has made its way around the world for the season and has officially come to a close!
For me, Fashion Week is one of the most exciting events of the year. You get to see all of the new trends that will be hitting the streets next season as well as your favorite fashion icons stepping out to showcase their personal style. I wanted to share some of my favorite from each destination so I waited until the very end. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
New York Fashion Week
LaPointe’s Spring 2019 collection was inspired by a mix of the past and future. She uses classic items and adds a little twist.
This collection screams glamorous and I love everything about it. This season his collection was inspired by his home state of Texas.
London Fashion Week
Tisci, the creative director, wanted to restore a sense of inclusiveness for the entire family to the brand. A touch of British culture from classic to edgy.
This collection was inspired by the cinematography of Pedro Almodovar’s fils. He wanted to also create a sense of movement within the garments.
Milan Fashion Week
This season’s collection was inspired by the Baguette, bringing in a new generation and getting a taste of the 90s and 2000s. Definitely one of my favorite collections.
This was all about an endless summer by the beach. She was inspired by the skater and surfer scene and prints from Japan and Hawaii.
Paris Fashion Week
Paris fashion week was my absolute favorite and there were soooo many to choose from!
I was absolutely blown away from this collection. There is some virtual reality inspiration behind this collection with a mixture of 80s silhouettes.
I always look forward to Balmain’s collections and they NEVER disappoint. My top pick of the season. Oliver’s inspiration behind this collection was “Paris meets Egypt”
I wanted to include one of my favorite fashion icons and the lady who killed it at every show she went to! Some of my favorite looks as she traveled around the globe to attend fashion week!!!
